Spots still available for Rome Early Childhood Program

ROME — The Rome City School District’s Early Childhood Program has spots still available for the 2022-23 school year, according to a district announcement.

Parents interested in registering their children can access applications online at https://sites.google.com/romecsd.org/ecp/home or in person at the Pre-K Office at the District Offices at 409 Bell Road.

Documentation required includes: Birth certificate, immunization record and three documents demonstrating proof of residence. Please see the Rome City School District Admission Policy for approved residency documents. All documents must be received with the registration to qualify for placement. Incomplete applications will be placed on a waiting list. With the program lottery complete, applications are still being accepted and placement will be first come first serve.

All Pre-K programs are parent transport only, the announcement said. The 3-Year-Old Program is for children with birth dates between Dec. 1, 2018 and Nov. 30, 2019. The 4-Year-Old Program is for children with birth dates between Dec. 1, 2017 and Nov. 30, 2018.

Program options including the following sites:

  • Clough location, 409 Bell Road; 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Rome Catholic School location, 800 Cypress St., 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Extended Day Care at an additional charge 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Afterschool Care at an additional charge 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. (Dependent on COVID restrictions, space is limited).
