The Lake Delta Kiwanis second annual benefit golf tournament will take place on Sunday, Aug. 7, at the McConnellsville Country Club. The event starts at 1 p.m. Registration is required before July 23.

The cost is $80 per player for 18 holes, a cart and the lunch buffet at 11:30 a.m. Register by emailing superchef13088@aol.com or David_halpin2001@yahoo.com.

The event supports scholarships, Toys for Tots, a backpack drive and holiday family dinners.

Yard sign sponsorships are also available for $35.

There will be prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, closest to straight line and hole in one. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.

Marks records hole in one at Delta Knolls

Michael Marks used a 7 iron to notch a hole in one Wednesday on the par 3 100-yard fifth hole at Delta Knolls Golf Course.

The ace was witnessed by Paul Lambert.
