UTICA — Are you interested in playing indoor soccer?
There’s a possible opportunity with Major Arena Soccer League team Utica City FC scheduling an open combine in September.
The team has the combine scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18 and 10 a.m. to noon at at CNY Family Sports Center in Syracuse. The cost is $125.
The first session is mandatory as part of the combine while the second session is similar to a callback should participants advance to that point, according to the team.

Utica City FC is going through some change. The team has a new coach in Hewerton Moreira when the 2022-23 season is set to begin in either late November or early December. The 42-year-old Brazilian and Major Arena Soccer League veteran took over in May after the team parted ways with Ryan Hall.
Utica finished 10-14 overall and missed the playoffs last spring.
The team has announced its co-captains Bo Jelovac and Nate Bourdeau are returning for another season. Timmy Goldman re-signed recently. Nate Bourdeau, Domenico Vitale, Cristhian Segura, Ronaldinho Diniz, Andrew Coughlin, Quenton Swift and Juan Alava are each listed on the team’s 2022-23 roster.
