Cayo Industrial Horror Realm, a haunted house attraction, opens for the Halloween season tonight.
This year, Cayo will operate in Rome, under the water tower at 530 Harbor Way. The haunted house is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October, as well as on Halloween (Thursday, Oct. 31) and on Friday and Saturday Nov. 1 and 2, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Free parking is available along Mill Street and near the Navigation Center pavilion at Bellamy Harbor Park.
Admission is $25. Tickets are only available onsite, and purchase is cash-only. An ATM will be available. Cayo is not recommended for young children, though children are admitted under parental supervision and discretion.
“Cayo is based alongn an industrial horror, post-apocalyptic theme,” said organizers in a release Friday.
“All attractions are centered a character named ‘Surgeon.’ Each attraction is a representation of his underworld. There are no Jasons, Freddies, or Michael Myers’s within these halls. All content is orginally themed, and designed to invoke fear and intrigue. Cayo is designed for those who are not easily scared, the imagery and set designs isnpire thought for those who look deeper within what they experience,” the release said.
