ROME — The city Parks and Recreation Department will host some special events during public skating at John F. Kennedy Arena during the month of December.

Kennedy Arena will host public skates with Rome Fire Department and Santa.

On Sunday, Dec. 4 from 1-2:30 p.m., firefighters will skate and interact with the community.

Then from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, Mr. Claus will be at Kennedy Arena to take pictures, talk with kids and hand out candy canes.

Admission for both events is free. Rental skates will be available for $3 at the Concession Stand/Pro Shop.
