CANASTOTA — There will be a special election for the proposed formation of the Clockville Water District on Aug. 13. Polls will be open from 6 a.m, until 9 pm. at the Lincoln Fire House 7224 Old County Road W. in Canastota.
If you wish to vote in the special election, you must be a resident of the proposed area and registered by July 19.
Anyone who has moved since they last registered should re-register. Registration forms are available from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling 315-366-2231 or downloaded at www.madisoncounty.ny.gov/boe.
Forms are also available at post offices and town, city and village clerk’s offices. With a NYS driver’s license you can register online at MyDMV www.dmv.ny.gov. Voters can verify their registration and enrollment at http://voterlookup.elections.ny.gov.
If you wish to vote by absentee, the absentee application forms are available from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling 315-366-2231 and can also be downloaded at www.madisoncounty.ny.gov/boe. You may also come into our office at 138 North Court St., Building 4, Wampsville, fill out an absentee form and vote in person. Absentee ballots will be available after July 10.
