Copper City Community Connection, 305 E. Locust St., will host a trip to Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua on Thursday, May 30.
The bus will depart the center at 7:30 a.m., and return at approximately 8:30 p.m. Cost is $100, $85 for members. Payment should be received by May 17, and no refunds will be given after this date.
Set on a 50-acre state park, Sonnenberg Gardens hosts nine formal gardens, a greenhouse conservatory complex, Sonnenberg mansion, gift shop, wine tasting, and café. Attendees are invited to bring a lunch to eat or visit the High Noon Café for a selection of crepes, soups, salads and more.
Next, visitors will see the Granger Homestead & Carriage Museum, an 1816 federal-style mansion that has a carriage house containing close to 100 antique carriages and sleighs.
The final stop will be a bite to eat at Wegman’s, which offers a wide variety of foods.
