‘Something Old: Something New’ exhibit opens Sept. 1
ROME — The Rome Art Association will host a solo art exhibition by local artist Teresa Van Etten during the months of September and October at the Cinema Capitol Art Gallery, located at 230 W. Dominick St.
The opening reception will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public. Van Etten’s exhibit, titled “Something Old: Something New — From Clay to Paper,” features figural clay reliefs, illuminated paper and mixed media sculptures, along with oil and acrylic paintings of the materials used to create the handmade papers.
The exhibit will be on display through Oct. 29, and can be viewed during the Cinema Capitol’s normal business hours.
