Town of Western firefighters douse a hay wagon fire on Quaker Hill Road at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Temperatures reached nearly 90 degrees Sunday afternoon, and fire officials said hay is sometimes known to spontaneously combust when packed tightly in the heat. Once doused, authorities said the hay was dug out and spread across the ground to water down again.
