UTICA — Oneida County Health Department and Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) will offer a free, three-week series of Freshstart Smoking Cessation classes beginning Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. in the AC 1 and 2 Conference Rooms at the St. Luke’s Campus, 1656 Champlin Ave.
The ninety-minute class will meet each subsequent Wednesday in January.
Refreshments will be provided and those who complete the course will receive a $25 grocery gift card.
Freshstart is an evidence-based program created by the American Cancer Society and is geared toward helping participants increase their motivation to quit. The class will provide essential information, skills for coping with cravings, and group support. All Oneida County residents over 18 are welcome.
