Small business group endorses Buttenschon

MARCY — The National Federation of Independent Businesses has endorsed Marianne Buttenschon for election to the State Assembly. This marks the second time the small business group has supported the two-term incumbent.

“My family has run the Buttenschon Christmas Tree Farm for over a generation. As farmers and small business owners, we’ve fully experienced the impact of excessive regulation, excessive taxation and historically high inflation,” Buttenschon said.

“I know what small businesses are going through and will do all that I can to lighten their burden,” she added.

Ashley Rainslow, the NFIB’s New York State Director said: “Now, more than ever, small businesses need lawmakers in both houses from both sides of the aisle to focus on easing the burden and costs on Main Street. ... NFIB’s NY PAC has endorsed incumbents and candidates that have demonstrated their commitment and support for small business.”

Other Mohawk Valley legislators receiving NFIB backing are state Sen. Joseph Griffo, R-47, Rome; Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush, R-117, Black River; and Assemblyman Robert Smullen, R-118, Meco.
