The leaves are changing, and the Sitrin Health Care Center is getting into the autumn spirit with its yearly campus hayride. This Wednesday, Oct. 10, Sitrin’s assisted living, long-term care, and NeuroCare residents, along with registrants of its OPAL Adult Day Program, will climb aboard a hay-baled bus in search of fall flavors and treats.
Riders will first stop in front of Sitrin’s main building for some morning donuts before cruising down to the long-term care homes where they will enjoy apple cider. Staff will also hand out apples, do face painting, and take photos of the riders in a personalized Sitrin hayride photo booth.
Afterward, the bus will swing by Cedarbrook, Sitrin’s assisted living facility, for some pumpkin picking, eventually stopping at the Sitrin Child Care Center to enjoy cookies and cards made by the children.
Additionally, Sitrin staff will “channel their flannel” by wearing fall favorites and helping out at the stations.
Morning hayrides take place from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., and afternoon rides are between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
