Registration for the July Food $en$e program — open to everyone regardless of income — will be held at First United Methodist Church in Rome, the First Baptist Church in Rome, Lake Delta Fire Department, and the Presbyterian Church in Holland Patent.
Food $en$e is a discount food program provided by the Central New York Food Bank. Everyone is welcome to participate. There are no income guidelines.
The $20.50 per unit cost is payable at the time of registration by cash or food stamps. Multiple units can be purchased. There are also extras which can be purchased with or without the basic unit. Sign-ups are scheduled at:
• First United Methodist Church, 400 N. George St.: Registration from noon to 2 p.m. today, June 21.
Registrations, for pickup at First United Methodist, will also be accepted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays, through Thursday, July 11, in the First Baptist Church, 301 W. Embargo St.
The food may be picked up Friday, July 26, between noon and 2 p.m. in First United Methodist Church. Sign-ups for the following month will also be accepted when picking up food. For information, call 315-336-1740.
• Those participating in the Town of Lee program can place orders today, June 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. and Tuesday, June 25, from 7-8 p.m. at the Lake Delta Fire Department, 8508 Elmer Hill Road.

Registration is today, June 21, from 12:30 and 2 p.m. or Saturday, June 22, between 10 a.m. and noon; as well as July 6 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The food may be picked up between 12:30 and 2 p.m. Friday, July 26, or between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, July 27. (Frozen foods will be kept in a freezer for the Saturday pickup).
The July package includes pork tenderloin, ground beef, chicken drumsticks, fish sticks, hot dogs, pork and beans, fresh coleslaw, shoestring French fries, frozen corn, frozen strawberries, and two fresh produce items.
Specials, which may be purchased in addition to the package or separately, are:
BBQ Pork Ribs: 2.5 lbs. for $7.50 - The baby back ribs are in a honey BBQ sauce and fully-cooked.
Chicken Breasts: 2.5 lbs. for $5.50 - Boneless, skinless, and individually quick frozen.
Beef Patties: 2 lbs. for $5.75 - 100% all beef featuring 8 quarter pound patties per special.
Pantry Box: $9.50 - includes: 100% Apple Juice (46 oz.), crushed tomatoes (28 oz.), macaroni & cheese (7.25 oz.), toasted oats (12 oz.), green beans (15 oz.), spaghetti rings (15 oz.), canned chicken (5 oz.), peanut butter (18 oz.), strawberry spread (19 oz.), and pineapple (20 oz.).
Breaded Shrimp: 3 lbs. for 12.75 - Contains 16-20 shrimp per pound.
Mozzarella Sticks: 2 lbs. for $6.25 - pre-cooked and ready for the oven or fryer.
Macaroni & Beef: 4.5 lbs. for $8.50 - Family-sized and a Campbell’s product.
