Registration for the December Food $en$e program — open to everyone regardless of income — will be held at First United Methodist Church in Rome, the First Baptist Church in Rome, Lake Delta Fire Department, and the Presbyterian Church in Holland Patent.
Food $en$e is a discount food program provided by the Central New York Food Bank. Everyone is welcome to participate. There are no income guidelines.
The $20.50 per unit cost is payable at the time of registration by cash or food stamps. Multiple units can be purchased.
There are also extras which can be purchased with or without the basic unit. Sign-ups are scheduled at:
• First United Methodist Church, 400 N. George St.: Registration from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 and Sunday, Dec. 8, from noon-1 p.m.
Registrations, for pickup at First United Methodist, will also be accepted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays, through Thursday, Dec. 5, in the First Baptist Church, 301 W. Embargo St.
The food may be picked up Friday, Dec. 20, between noon and 2 p.m. in First United Methodist Church. Sign-ups for the following month will also be accepted when picking up food. For information, call 315-336-1740.
• Those participating in the Town of Lee program can place orders Friday, Nov. 22, from 1 to 3 p.m., and Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Delta Fire Department, 8508 Elmer Hill Road.

Registration is Friday, Nov. 22, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. or Saturday, Nov. 23, between 10 a.m. and noon; and Dec. 7 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The food may be picked up between 12:30 and 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, or between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, Dec. 21. (Frozen foods will be kept in a freezer for the Saturday pickup).
The December package includes pork tenderloin, chicken tenders, ground turkey, breakfast sausage, pancake mix, fresh eggs, orange juice, honey-nut cereal, hash browns, frozen mixed berries, and two fresh produce items.
Specials, which may be purchased in addition to the package or separately, are:
Spiral ham: 2.5 lbs. (avg.) for $7.75 — boneless smoked half ham.
Stuffed chicken: 2 lbs. for $7.50 — stuffed with apples and cranberries.
American cheese: 5 lbs. for $14 — sliced cheese, not individually wrapped.
Meatloaf: 2 lbs. for $6.25 — made with 100% ground beef.
Pantry Box: $9.50 - Mac & Cheese (7.25 oz.), Oatmeal (18 oz.), Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz.), Mixed Vegetables (15 oz.), Tuna Fish (5 oz.), Apple Juice (64 oz.), Beef Ravioli (15 oz.), Peanut Butter (18 oz.), Strawberry Spread (19 oz.), and Pineapple Tidbits (20 oz.).
French fries: 5 lbs. for $4.25 — ready to cook and a straight-cut restaurant fry.
Stuffed shells: 3 lbs. for $5.75 — stuffed with a ricotta cheese filling.
