Registration for the February Food $en$e program — open to everyone regardless of income — will be held at First United Methodist Church in Rome, the First Baptist Church in Rome, Lake Delta Fire Department, the Presbyterian Church in Holland Patent, and Karing Kitchen in Oneida.
Food $en$e is a discount food program provided by the Central New York Food Bank. Everyone is welcome to participate. There are no income guidelines. The $20.50 per unit cost is payable at the time of registration by cash or food stamps. Multiple units can be purchased. There are also extras which can be purchased with or without the basic unit. Sign-ups are scheduled at:
• First United Methodist Church, 400 N. George St.: Registration from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, and Sunday, Feb. 9, from noon-1 p.m.
Registrations, for pickup at First United Methodist, will also be accepted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays, through Thursday, Feb. 6, in the First Baptist Church, 301 W. Embargo St.
The food may be picked up Friday, Feb. 21, between noon and 2 p.m. in First United Methodist Church. Sign-ups for the following month will also be accepted when picking up food. For information, call 315-336-1740.
• Those participating in the Town of Lee program can place orders Friday, Jan. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m., and Thursday, Jan. 30, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Delta Fire Department, 8508 Elmer Hill Road.

• Foothills Rural Community Ministry, Presbyterian Church, Holland Patent (across from the park just off Route 365).
Registration is Friday, Jan. 24, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. or Saturday, Jan. 25, between 10 a.m. and noon; and Feb. 1 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The food may be picked up between 12:30 and 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, or between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, Feb. 22. (Frozen foods will be kept in a freezer for the Saturday pickup).
• Karing Kitchen,116 West Grove St., Oneida: Orders will be taken Monday, Feb. 3, at the Oneida Recreation Department from 5-6 p.m., and for Tower residents on Thursday, Feb. 6, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the mailroom.

The February package includes pork tenderloin, chicken thighs, fish sticks, ground beef, Polish sausage, pierogis, cheddar cheese, white rice, broccoli florets, applesauce, and two fresh produce items.
Specials, which may be purchased in addition to the package or separately, are:
Boneless Chicken: 2.5 lbs. for $5.50 — skinless and individually quick frozen.
Lobster Bites: 17 oz. for $4.50 — can be deep fried or baked in the oven.
American Cheese: 5 lbs. for $12 — not individually wrapped.
Meatloaf: 2 lbs. for $6.50 — made with 100% ground beef
Produce Box: $15 — includes apples (5), oranges (5), potatoes (5 lbs.), pineapple (1), grape tomatoes (1 pint), cucumber (1), salad mix (1 bag), and carrots (1 lb.).
French Fries: 5 lbs. for $4.50 — ready to cook and can be used in the oven or fryer.
Hot Pockets: 8 oz. sandwiches for $20 — 12 sandwiches per special.
