Shred, plastics collection event scheduled for Sherrill residents

SHERRILL — Free shredding and plastics collection will be available April 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sherrill Transfer Station, 2100 Elmwood Place.

Sherrill residents are invited to bring any paper they need shredded. There is no need to remove paper clips or staples. Folders and envelopes are also accepted.

Residents can also drop off bulky rigid plastics, officials added.

Items that are not accepted include plastic bags, plastic film, tyro foam, plastic appliances, vinyl siding, water hoses, toys with circuit boards or battery packs, pool and chemical containers, driveway sealant containers, paint cans and motor oil containers.
