Shooting in Utica under investigation
UTICA — One man was shot in the arm and leg at Oneida Street and Clinton Place in Utica Tuesday evening, according to the Utica Police Department.
No arrests have been made so far.
Police said they were dispatched to Oneida Street and Clinton Place at about 6:55 p.m. Tuesday for a report of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, police said they found the site of the shooting in a driveway, with multiple spent shell casings scattered about.
It was learned that the suspect ran away from the scene in a western direction, while the victim ran in the opposite direction, police stated. The victim eventually walked into the St. Luke’s campus of Mohawk Valley Health System, and officers responded to speak with him.
The victim suffered gunshots to his leg and arm, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
