SHERRILL — Kathy Chiarmonte, from the Clinton Garden Club and board member of District 5 of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, will speak about two World Gardening Projects that are promoted by the FGCNYS at the November meeting on the Sherrill Garden Club at 6 p.m. at the Sherrill-Kenwood Library, 543 Sherrill Road.

Chiarmonte will discuss Water for South Sudan, which is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 2003 whose mission is to provide “access to clean, safe water, and improving hygiene and sanitation practices in areas of great need.” The second project she will discuss is Dig Deep: The Navajo Water Project, whose mission is to get clean, hot and cold running water to more households, so families can stop hauling and start enjoying the simple miracle of a working tap.

Hostesses for the meeting are Leneta Planck and Joyce Smith, who will provide refreshments and a table decoration. A business meeting will follow the presentation and refreshments.

The meeting is open to anyone from the community who wants to learn more about these two service projects and the Sherrill Garden Club.
