SHERRILL — A meeting of the Sherrill Garden Club will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library, 543 Sherrill Road. The featured speaker will be Michelle McNamara, who will give the talk “All About Mums.”

Garden mums are available in the fall to bring a welcome splash of color in the garden at a time when most summer flowers have begun to fade, organizers said, adding that anyone who is interested in learning more about mums or the Sherrill Garden Club is welcome to attend.

Refreshments will be served by hostesses Jo English and Fran Durant, who will also provide a seasonal table decoration. The business meeting will follow the presentation.
