Sheriff’s deputy, K9 partner graduate intense training program

WHITESTOWN — Sheriff’s Sgt. James Danquer and his K-9 partner, “Kal,” recently graduated from an intense, nine-week Police K-9 Patrol & Tracking training course.

The course was conducted by the Syracuse Police Department and in addition to Sgt. Danquer and Kal, the other K-9 teams that were participated in the training. Among the other departments included those from Syracuse Police, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and the Troy Police Department. 

County Sheriff Robert Maciol attended the recent graduation ceremony that was held at Leavenworth Park in the City of Syracuse. 

K-9 Kal is now patrolling the communities throughout Oneida County with Sgt. Danquer.
