UTICA — One woman suffered multiple injuries after her attempts to avoid another vehicle caused her car to drive over a retaining wall and crash into several parked vehicles and the sign outside Willie's Bagels in north Utica Monday morning, according to the Utica Police Department.

Police said the driver, whose identity was not released, was southbound on North Genesee Street at about 11:30 a.m. when she took evasive action to avoid a vehicle that had entered her lane of travel. Police said her car crashed through several street signs, drove over a retaining wall, struck several vehicles parked at Willie's and eventually crashed into the shop's exterior sign.

The woman's vehicle and two others sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene, police said.

The woman suffered several cuts to her hands and legs, and her injuries are not life-threatening, police said. No tickets have been issued so far.

The crash remains under investigation.
