Several area school districts plan ‘Go Home’ early drill for Nov. 23

NEW HARTFORD — Several area school districts will carry out a “Go Home” drill on Tuesday, Nov. 23. Schools are required to complete the drill as part of their Emergency Management Plan.

In general, according to the announcement by Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES officials, students will be dismissed 15 minutes before their normal dismissal time (both in-person and hybrid models).

Each individual district will notify parents, students and staff members as to the specifics of their “Go Home” drill plans, the BOCES announcement added.

The participating school districts include:

Clinton;

Holland Patent;

New Hartford;

New York Mills;

Notre Dame;

Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES;

Oriskany;

Remsen,

Sauquoit Valley;

Utica;

Waterville;

Westmoreland; and
