Seven people displaced in Utica fire


UTICA — Seven people have been displaced from their home after a house fire in Utica Friday night.

Fire officials said the alarm was raised shortly before midnight on Friday for a house fire in the 1500 block of Lincoln Ave. Authorities said all residents escaped the home without injury. The firefight lasted into Saturday morning.

The American Red Cross is assisting four adults and three children, ages 8, 14 and 15. Officials said they are assisting with shelter, food and clothing.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
