Seth Owen Becker live-streams solo gig at KAC

CLINTON — Kirkland Art Center, 9 1/2 E. Park Row, will feature Seth Owen Becker, singer, songwriter and guitarist from the local Americana band, The Old Main, on the gallery stage for a performance at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 12.

Becker draws influence from multiple eras of folk, rock, and blues music. His solo gig will be available to stream via Zoom at or on FaceBook (KACenter).

KAC boasts one of the best small live music venues in Central New York, but because of the pandemic, the stage was dark for over a year. Now, with support from CNY Arts, the art center is hosting a series of free, live-streamed gigs, KAC Live from the Gallery.

The artists chosen for the series represent the rich diversity of musical genres that thrive in the area, including Irish traditional music, rap, jazz and Americana.

The series will continue at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, with the postponed gig by rap artist Leeky XIV, and will wrap up on Wednesday, June 16, at 8 p.m. with versatile local songster Steph Steele, joined by some friends for an evening of jazz numbers.

The virtual concerts are free, although donations will be accepted online during each gig for the artists or to support live music programs. Ryan Miller will provide sound and video support for each performance to ensure a high-quality experience for folks streaming the concerts from home.
