FRANKFORT — Herkimer County is sponsoring a Senior Citizen’s Picnic on Wednesday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds, Frankfort.

Coffee and doughnuts will be available starting at 10 a.m. and bingo will start at 11 a.m. Attendees may provide their own lunch or can purchase a ticket for lunch provided by Kentucky Fried Chicken. Tickets are $5 and include boneless chicken, potatoes, coleslaw, and a biscuit. Call 315-867-1152 and contact Michele for the number of tickets needed. Payment is necessary when picking up tickets. Tickets can be picked up at the Herkimer County Treasurer’s Office at 109 Mary Street, Suite 2419, Herkimer. Checks should be made payable to Herkimer County Treasurer. The deadline for tickets is June 15.

The picnic’s bingo games have a number of prizes up for grabs. Community members and organizations who wish to donate gift certificates for local prizes can contact the Herkimer County Sheriff’s Department at 315-867-1168. Herkimer County asks gift certificates be in $10 increments. Gift certificates can also be mailed to 320 N. Main Street Suite 2900, Herkimer.
