The Capitol Theatre, 220 W. Dominick St., is once again conducting its spring scrap metal drive, according to officials with the landmark Rome organization.
Proceeds will go to the 90-year-old theater’s maintenance fund, the scrap metal drive organizers added.
The Capitol is accepting steel, aluminum, copper, brass, wire and other metals, which can be dropped off by appointment.
Bicycles are accepted and can be dropped off in the theatre lobby at any time during regular business hours.
Donations of motor vehicles in any condition are especially welcome and are hauled away for free, the Capitol Theatre announcement added.
To schedule an appointment to drop off scrap or to learn about vehicle donation, contact Joseph Borasky at 315-623-7692. The spring scrap metal drive runs through the end of June. Vehicle donations are welcome year-round.
According to the Capitol, the drive raises thousands of
dollar annually for theatre maintenance fund.
