Sauquoit Valley board of education seeks community input on superintendent search

Posted

SAUQUOIT — The Sauquoit Valley Central School District Board of Education is currently conducting its search for the next superintendent of schools and is seeking additional input from community members regarding the district’s Mission Statement.

Members of the Sauquoit Valley CSD community are being asked to share their feedback using an online tool called ThoughtExchange. Participants will respond to an open-ended question, consider and assign stars to some of the ideas shared by others — 20 to 30 is ideal — and learn what’s important to the group.

They can rate as many thoughts as they would like before moving on to “Discover,” where they can see all the thoughts sorted by the average star rating.

All thoughts and stars are confidential. Community members can come back as often as they would like to participate and, in fact, they are encouraged to come back to star some of the new ideas shared since they first participated. The ratings will help inform the Sauquoit Valley Board of Education during the rest of the superintendent search process.

The ThoughtExchange can be accessed by visiting www.svcsd.org/thoughtexchange2 or through a link on the Sauquoit Valley District homepage. Participation in the ThoughtExchange will be open until 8 a.m. Friday, March 10.

As the Board of Education moves through the search process, they will continue to provide updates and opportunities for community members to share additional feedback in a variety of ways.

For more information, contact Patricia N. Kilburn, Ed.D. district superintendent of the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES, at 315-793-8560.
