Sangertown Square to host textile drive to aid vets

NEW HARTFORD — Sangertown Square mall has teamed up with the Utica Center for Development and Central New York’s Veteran’s Outreach Center to host a textile drive. The drive will be held on Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Representatives from the Utica Center for Development will be in the parking lot outside of PiNZ collecting various textiles for local veteran families in need. Any donation whether the textile is gently used or torn will be used to assist local veterans in need successfully integrate back into society.

Accepted textiles include:

Belts;

Blankets;

Clothing;

Comforters;

Draperies;

Footwear;

Purses;

Sheets; and

Towels, among other items.
