ROUNDUP: Spartans wear fifth straight TVL girls soccer crown, Clinton soccer, CSC Division III and more

The New Hartford girls soccer team won its fifth straight Tri-Valley League title, wrapping up the regular season with a 5-0 win over visiting league foe Rome Free Academy Thursday.

The Spartans, who extended their unbeaten streak to 53 games, led 3-0 at the half. The streak is now the third longest in the New York state record book, according to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.

The defending Class A state champions got two goals and an assist from Anna Rayhill. Willa Pratt scored and had two assists. Amanda Graziano and Lindsay Ellis also scored. Biddie Clive and Lia Fornino had an assist each.

In goal for New Hartford, Savannah Cole and Abby O’Connor made one save each in split time.

Statistics for the Black Knights were not submitted.

New Hartford improves to 15-0-1 overall and 12-0 in the TVL’s Colonial Division.

RFA concludes its regular season at 10-6, 8-4 in the Colonial.

Warriors to share division crown

The Clinton field hockey team wrapped its regular season with a 6-0 win over visiting Cazenovia Thursday in non-league play. The Warriors will share the Center State Conference East regular season title with Canastota, as the teams both went 3-1 in the division and won 2-0 against each other in their two head-to-head games.

Gretchen Grimm had a hat trick and added an assist. Elise Pape had two goals. Gracen Grimm scored and had an assist. Lauren Rey had a pair of assists and teammates Skyler McFadden and Gabby Gemelli had an assist each.

Chloe White faced no shots on goal for the Warriors.

Madison Rothfield of Cazenovia had five saves.

Clinton finishes at 15-1.

Luke scores twice in Clinton shutout win over Westmoreland

Paige Luke scored twice to help the Clinton girls soccer team get a 4-0 win at Westmoreland Thursday in a non-league matchup.

Ellie Thompson and Chelsea Lopata also scored. Ava Alteri had a pair of assists and Olivia Spina and Lydia DeTraglia had one each.

Deanna Heintz stopped all 11 shots she faced for the shutout.

Westmoreland goalkeeper Emily Gubbins made 14 saves.

The win was the last game of the regular season for Clinton, which was 7-7-1 overall.

Westmoreland (10-5) ends its regular season hosting Oriskany at 11 a.m. today in a non-league match.

Frankfort-Schuyler soccer wins CSC Division III

The Frankfort-Schuyler girls soccer team ended its regular season with 3-1 win at home against Cooperstown in non-league play. The team went 13-3, and its 8-0 record was the best in the Center State Conference’s Division II.

Madison Kelly, Victoria Balio and Demi Scialdo scored for the home team.

Angelina Tangorra had eight saves in the win.

Statistics for Cooperstown were not submitted.

Bulldog modified soccer wins

The Westmoreland girls modified soccer team beat Little Falls Thursday 4-0.

Isabella Smith had two goals, Autumn Coffin had a goal and two assists and Jules Otis had a goal and an assist.

Holy Bulischeck recorded the shutout.
