Rotary Club to host annual Easter Food Drive to benefit Rome Rescue Mission
ROME — Rome Rotary’s annual Easter Food Drive will be conducted on Monday, April 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rome Rescue Mission, 413 E. Dominick St.
For the convenience of donors this will be a “drive-in, drop-off” event. All items donated will either be distributed by Rescue Mission workers at various locations throughout the city or be used to provide Easter Brunch at Rome Rescue Mission.
Rotary project coordinator Kris Dombeck suggests the following items can be donated: Hams (boneless or sliced), canned soups and stews, Easter candy, chips, condiments, fresh and sweet potatoes, peanut butter, jelly, bread, baked goods and dinner rolls.
Rome Rescue Mission serves 200 meals per day, and expects to serve at least 500 on Easter. Monetary donations are accepted, and checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 337, Rome, N.Y. 13440. Learn more at https://www.romemission.org or contact Kris Dombeck at 315-338-3584.
