Root Farm Adventures to celebrate grand opening on Monday


SAUQUOIT — Root Farm Adventures will celebrate a grand opening at 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6, at 2860 King Road.

Root Farm Adventures, an accessible challenge course, features low and high ropes courses, a 1,000- foot-long zip line and rock climbing tower. The Root Farm’s challenge course includes a handicap accessible high ropes course, the first of its type in the country, allowing people of all ages and abilities to participate, the business noted. The zip line and rock climbing tower are also handicap accessible.

The Root Farm is also celebrating the opening of their 40-foot-high rock climbing tower to the public. The tower is open to the public Thursdays through Sunday, July through October. Hours are 3-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and noon-6 p.m. on Sunday.

The Root Farm will offer discounts to individuals interested in participating on the zip line and rock climbing wall from 3 to 6 on the day of the grand opening: $15 per zip line ride and $5 for rock climbing. The Root Farm is a non-profit organization focused on learning and healing for people of all ages and abilities through equine, agricultural and recreational experiences.
