Rome Twigs installs officers, honors members


Rome Twigs installed officers and honored members for volunteer hours at its semiannual meeting on April 19 at the Beeches.

Leigh Loughran, assistant director of medical imaging at Rome Memorial Hospital, spoke about the hereditary high risk screening program at the hospital.

New officers for 2018 to 2020 were elected: President Jacquelyn Keys, Vice President Sandy Morris, Corresponding Secretary Dorothy Grasso, Recording Secretary Barbara Rapke, Treasurer Elizabeth Stevens and Assistant Treasurer Mary Carmel Wolf.

Memorial Chairman Gretchen Sprock announced that nine members will be honored with donations made to the Rome College Fund in their memories.

The following Twig members were recognized for volunteer hours:

Grasso (1,100), Sprock (5,800), Kate Sharma (700), Nettie Hartigan (1,000), Susan Davidson (800), Muffy Engelbert (200), Pat Denton (400), Sue Gigliotti (1,100), Keys (600), Betty McMahon (500), Mary Claire Mondrick (2,500), Debbie Myslinski (1,600), Jeanette Reid (700), Linda Davis (700), Joan Rhude (200), Marge Palmer (1,000), Barb Jalbert (2,000), Karen Grudzinskas (200), Sheryl Kegley (500) and Eda Pendorf (800).
