The Rome Twigs held their annual spring luncheon meeting at Delta Lake Inn on Wednesday. The event was hosted by the Magnolia Twig.

The Twigs, a not-for-profit organization, started in 1907 with a mission to support Rome Memorial Hospital and the community which it supports. That mission continues today.

President Jackie Keys welcomed the members and provided an update of Twig activities, including the success of having the Gift Shop in its new location. The Gift Shop is located adjacent to the main lobby of the hospital and is open to the public.

President Keys also introduced guests from both Rome Memorial Hospital and the Rome Hospital Foundation. David Lundquist, President/CEO Rome Memorial Hospital, expressed appreciation for the many contributions the Twigs make to the hospital.

Twig members reaching notable volunteer hour goals were recognized for their dedicated work. Also, members who passed away during the last six months were remembered. A donation for each will be made to the Memorial Fund for the scholarship program.

Following the meeting, members were entertained by a comical conversation between elderly spouses, played by Janet and Rod Foote of the Chatham Theatre Company.
