Rome teen accused of threatening boyfriend's father
ROME — A Rome teenager is accused of threatening her boyfriend's father with a knife during an argument on Perry Street Wednesday morning, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said Genesis Rosario-Gonzales, 18, was involved in an argument with her boyfriend at a home on Perry Street at bout 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police said the boy's father went upstairs to intervene in the argument at which point Rosario-Gonzales pointed a knuckle knife at him and threatened to cut him if he got close to her.
The father went back downstairs and his wife called 911.
Rosario-Gonzales is charged with one count each of second-degree menacing and fourth-degree possession of a weapon, police stated. She is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
