Rome Sports Hall of Fame scoops up Stewart’s grant

The Rome Sports Hall of Fame and Museum has received a $1,250 grant from the Stewart’s Holiday Match Program. Dave Sbaraglia, president of the Hall of Fame,, said “We are extremely grateful to Stewart’s Shops and their customers for being selected as one of the recipients for this donation. This grant will be used for youth receptions, our annual awards banquet, sports clinics and special events for youth 18 years and under.”

The program manages donations collected from Stewart’s Shops customers from Thanksgiving until Christmas and then matched by Stewart’s corporate office.

This year over 1,800 organizations requested over $3 million in support. Stewart’s had $1.89 million to donate. The Stewart’s Holiday match program has now allocated nearly $26 million since the programs inception. All Stewart’s Holiday Match Funds are to be used directly for children 18 years and under in the geographic area where their shops are located and the money was raised.

There are no administrative fees, therefore all monies collected and matched are distributed.
