POTSDAM — Christina Williams, of Rome, a senior at Clarkson University, has been selected as one of five Clarkson students and 84 nationally to attend a national leadership seminar for women preparing to enter the construction industry.

Each year, Clarkson Construction Engineering Management (CEM) program Corporate Sponsor Kiewit Construction offers women in construction programs across the nation the opportunity to travel, all-expense paid, to Omaha, Neb., to spend several days learning about leadership in construction and connecting with women mentors in the construction industry.

Kiewit’s highly selective program, the Kiewit Women in Construction and Engineering Leadership Seminar, helps young emerging women construction professionals to learn what the benefits of a career in construction entails.

Other Clarkson students heading to Omaha include: Brittany Condon, of Massena; Sarah Weeks, of Rockland, Mass.; Hannah Williams, of Little Falls; and Laura Wing, of Averill Park.
