Rome Rotary collecting items for resettled Ukrainians, Afghans
ROME — Rome Rotary Club and the St. Paul’s Parish Veterans Support Group are teaming up again to help Ukrainians and Afghans that have been resettled in Central New York.
Lately, resettlement agencies have expressed a need for the everyday use items such as household cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, personal hygiene items, cookware, pressure cookers, vacuum cleaners, baby strollers, blankets, bedding, microwaves and bath towels.
All items should be clean and serviceable.
A Drive-in/Drop-off event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at St. Paul’s Parish Church, 1807 Bedford St.
For more information, contact Rome Rotary past-president Steve Mercurio at 315-795-7997.
