A teenager wanted for violating a City Court order and failing to appear is the Rome Police Department’s warrant of the week.

Police said Tyler J. Jones, 18, with a last known address on McConnellsville Road in Annsville, is wanted on two open bench warrants. Police said Jones had been arraigned in court on a charge of second-degree contempt, but then he failed to return for his next appearance before the judge.

Jones is a white male, approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds, authorities said. He had previously resided in Little Falls in Herkimer County.

Anyone with information on Jones or his whereabouts is asked to contact Rome Police at 315-339-7780 or go online to www.romepd.com. All calls will be kept confidential, officials said.

Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers will also accept anonymous tips at 1-866-730-8477.

Meanwhile, police said the previous warrant of the week, Brian D. White Jr., has since turned himself in to the authorities.
