Rome Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Chestnut Commons has welcomed board certified physician assistant Erica Trimm to its staff.

“We are happy to be able to add Erica to our orthopedics and sports medicine team,” said Rosemel Atkinson, Vice President of Physician Practices at Rome Memorial Hospital.

“Erica has the skill and knowledge to capably provide our patients with the quality orthopedic care they have come to rely upon from Rome Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.”

The practice provides complete care of the musculoskeletal system, including the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injuries to the muscles, bones, joints, tendons, and ligaments. Laboratory, x-ray, and rehab therapy services are located nearby the Chestnut Commons practice.

Trimm earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Canisius College in Buffalo and received a master’s degree in physician assistant studies form SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.

She holds memberships in the Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the Urgent Care Association.
