Rome mother charged with endangering two children
ROME — A Rome woman is accused of leaving two young children home alone while arguing with her boyfriend Monday night, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said Kayla M. Tennant, 31, was involved in an argument with her boyfriend outside her Hager Avenue home at about 9:22 p.m. Monday. Police said the boyfriend left in a vehicle and Tennant followed in her own vehicle. Police said the pair returned a short time later, continued arguing, and then left again in the same way.
Tennant then returned about a minute later and went inside the home, authorities stated.
During this time, police said a 2-year-old an a 4-month-old were left inside the home alone.
Tennant is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said. She is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
