A 43-year-old man is facing multiple charges after driving under the influence of drugs with a child in his vehicle Thursday night, according to the Rome Police Department.

ROME — A 43-year-old man is facing multiple charges after driving under the influence of drugs with a child in his vehicle Thursday night, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Jeffrey P. Damore, of Rome, was pulled over in the 1100 block of Floyd Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday and was found to be driving under the influence of drugs. Police said Damore also had a 6-year-old child in the vehicle.

Damore is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, first-degree operator impaired by drugs and endangering the welfare of a child, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
