Rome man accused of damaging motel room
ROME — A 35-year-old man is accused of damaging a room at the Relax Inn motel in Rome Monday evening, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said James Rios, of Rome, damaged a television set, an iron and a wall in his room at the Relax Inn on East Whitesboro Street around 7 p.m. Monday. Police said that was the second TV Rios had destroyed, because he had thrown a TV off a balcony earlier in the day.
Rios is charged with one count of fourth-degree mischief, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
