Rome Historical Society seeks presenters
The Rome Historical Society, a local museum and research library dedicated to preserving, collecting, presenting, and interpreting local history, is looking for presenters for 2022 public programs to share their knowledge and passion of community history, according to an announcement by the local civic and cultural organization.
Free public programs are offered on the third Wednesday of every month covering a wide variety of local history topics.
If you have done research on a specific topic or have specialized knowledge about Rome’s local history, you could present a program for the Society, the announcement said. Previous programs were recorded and made available at Facebook.com/romehistorical.
Upcoming programs will be held on Zoom and broadcasted to Facebook until in person programming is safe to resume.
