ROME — The Rome Health Community Pharmacy opened on Monday, Nov. 14, in the new Medical Center on the hospital’s main campus, 1500 N. James St.

The Community Pharmacy is open to the public and has an external entrance facing Oak Street with convenient parking just outside. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. It is closed 12:30 to 1 p.m. for lunch.

The new location will provide convenient access for primary care patients when they need prescriptions filled after an appointment. In addition, the pharmacy will continue to provide "Meds to Beds" service for hospital patients when they are discharged.

The new Medical Center brings together primary care, surgical specialists, diagnostic testing and retail pharmacy under one roof for convenient, accessible, coordinated patient care.
