ROME — The Rome Free Academy Class of 1977 will celebrate its 45-year reunion the weekend of Sept. 30.

Festivities will begin with a casual opening get-together at Rome’s Copper City Brewing Company on Friday evening and a dinner party, the main event, at The Delta Lake Inn, 8524 Fish Hatchery Road, at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Additional activities planned for Saturday include a golf outing and hike earlier in the day and a potential post-dinner party with local classic rock band Steely and the Nighthogs, which features two RFA ’77 classmates.

The reunion dinner banquet will feature pasta primavera, chicken Francaise, bourbon grilled beef, salad and rolls, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans almondine, dessert, soda, coffee, and tea. A cash bar also will be available throughout the evening. Classmates are welcome to bring a guest.

The cost for dinner tickets purchased now through Sept.1 is $55 per person, with the price increasing to $65 after that. Each classmate who attends the dinner also will receive a free commemorative souvenir “rocks” glass.

To register, buy tickets, or learn more about the reunion, visit the RFA Class of 1977 webpage at www.myevent.com/RFA77-45. Information includes details about hotel rooms available through Rome’s Hampton Inn, where reunion organizers have reserved blocks of rooms for Class of ’77 attendees to book by the end of August.

Classmates also can email 1977rfa@gmail.com or call 315-794-2459 for more information and register and send reunion dinner checks to RFA Class of ’77, c/o Nancy Dukett, 10164 Harris Road, Lee Center, N.Y. 13363. Classmates who cannot attend should register so their information is up-to-date.
