The Rome Area Chamber
of Commerce’s Professional Development Committee will present a workshop with Bill Berthel entitled “Why Team Performance Matters: Performance Based Team Development” on Tuesday, May 7 from 8:30 to
11:30 a.m. at the Plumley Complex at the MVCC Rome Campus, 1101 Floyd Ave.
Team performance drives organizations, and productivity can suffer if a team is not working together. This workshop is aimed at emphasizing communication and connection to teach organizations of all types to work as a unified, well-oiled team.
Themes to be touched upon include understanding individual strengths, accountability, key processes, identifying and dealing with issues, and “laser focus.”
Workshop leader Bill Berthel’s education in psychology and HR management and experience of more than 25 years in the private sector allow him unique opportunities to practice the skill of relating with others.
His TEDx presentation, “Keep it Real,” is devoted tot he ability to relate with everyone — regardless of perspective or beliefs. Berthel is an engaging group facilitator, with specialties in executive and HR leadership coaching and team development. Berthel is an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) and published contributor to several ASTM Standards.
Registration for the workshop is required. Groups that register by April 15 will receive an early bird discount, $129 for Chamber members and $159 for non-members.
For those registering after April 15, participation is $159 for Chamber members and $189 for all others. For groups of four or more, registration is only $99 per attendee.
