Rome Catholic Class of 1969 to hold 50-year reunion

The members of the Rome Catholic High Class of 1969 will hold their 50-year class reunion the weekend of Aug 9-11.

On Friday Aug. 9, an informal gathering will be held at The Copper City Brewery, 1111 Oneida St., at 6 p.m.  There will be snacks and a food truck on site, according to an announcement by event organizers.

During the day Friday, there will be a golf outing at Teugega Country Club for those who are interested. Contact Chet DiBari for details at  Cdibari@gmail.com or 315-225-1935.

Saturday, Aug. 10, class members will meet at Teugega Country Club, 6801 Golf Course Road at 5 p.m. for cocktails and hors d’oeures (cash bar), followed by a stations dinner.  Guests will listen to 1960s records and music provided by various classmates.  No jeans or tank tops are allowed at the country club.

Sunday, Aug. 11, there will be a Catholic Mass at St John the Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. that will be concelebrated by classmates, the Rev. Paul Angelicchio, the Rev. James Tormey and Brother Peter Schneible.  

After Mass, there will be a brunch at The Savoy restaurant across the street.

Tickets for dinner on Saturday night at Teugega are $50 per person and the brunch on Sunday at Savoy is $20 per person.  Friday night is a pay-as-you-go event.  Checks for the reunion are payable to: Mary Anne Kenny, 1743 N. George St., Rome, N.Y. 13440 by June 30.
