OLD FORGE — “Rome Art Association Goes North,” will be on display at the Old Forge Library, 220 Crosby Blvd., from Nov. 18 through Jan. 9.

The exhibit opening reception will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend and enjoy light refreshments, view the artwork and meet participating artists.

The exhibit consists of work in a variety of media by members of the Rome Art Association, one of the area’s most active art clubs. The exhibit will showcase artwork by a variety of the association’s current members. The Rome Art Association was founded in May 1958 with 12 members; now the membership is nearly 100 members strong.

The group’s mission is to promote and encourage the talents and abilities of local artists, to stimulate public interest in and appreciation of the fine arts and to encourage the development of facilities in Rome for these purposes.
