With the fall season in full gear, here’s what’s going on at the Rome Art and Community Center:
• This month, the Rome Art and Community Center has been selected by local Hannaford store leadership as the benefiting non-profit in the Community Bag Program, according to the RACC. The Rome Art and Community Center will receive a $1 donation from each purchase of the $2.50 reusable Community Bag at the Hannaford store located at 808 West Chestnut St.
• From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 16, the RACC will host a Trick or Treat Street, a free walk through event. Rain dates are Saturdays, Oct. 10 and Oct. 17.
“We invite all little ghouls and goblins (under the age of 12) to join us for a safe trick or treat experience. Stop by in your most Spooktacular Halloween Outfit to trick our characters into giving up their treats. The Upstate Scare Crew will be dressing up in child friendly costumes and we will have 10 stations in our circular drive. We are planning on passing out a variety of goodies/small treats in addition to candy. The Lions club will be joining with us at the last station and will be handing out a book to each child. We will be following COVID protocols. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing,” a release continues.
