Rome Academy of Sciences event to explore ‘Theory of Everything’
ROME — A meeting of the Rome Academy of Sciences will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, at the Rome Historical Society, 200 Church St. The meeting will feature the presentation “The Theory of Everything — So Far” by Peter J. Costianes, a retired physicist from the Air Force Research Laboratory.
The presentation will include discussion of the Big Bang, the standard model of particle physics, quantum field theory, space-time, gravitational waves, the multiverse, and string theory. The topics will be presented for understanding by the layman.
Students with an interest in physics are welcomed to attend; especially, if they are interested in a pursuing this or related topics in college.
